Built to the original Stromberg blueprint specification with significant improvements.
Black painted cast iron base Factory adjusted brass float, made in the USA on original tooling.
Reinforced airhorn cover -l eliminates leaks Dual ball S-Jet inlet valve High-tech cellulose / nitrile seals 162 cfm
Note: High-precision die-cast parts from new tooling, CNC-machined for an optimal fit.
So no oversized threads. No mysterious parts from previous conversions. Just no problems.
Stock Size Cast Iron Base - No oversize throttle shaft. Painted black like before.
A reinforced air horn with additional gasket around the float cap to prevent warping and leaks.
Original Stromberg Jet Set Up - .045 main jets and a #65 Power Valve. 162 cfm out of the box (independently verified)
measured at 1.5 inches Hg (same as they measure 4-bbl carburetors).
A new brass float, made in the USA on original Stromberg tooling.
A specially designed no-stick S-Jet intake valve. Modern, reinforced high-tech seals.
Who Needs Rust? Not us! Stainless steel rods throughout. Our springs are rustproof.
This also applies to the accelerator pump rod, throttle linkage, throttle body, lever and much more.
New throttle and accelerator pump lever design made of investment casting and stainless steel.
Exterior finish in pale zinc chromate by original Ford Service Bulletin procedures. Riveted original style throttle and choke shafts.
Extensive dyno and road testing have proven they meet or exceed the original specification.
Remember that the Original Stromberg 97, like any carburetor, requires proper installation and tuning,
to achieve optimal performance.
